The Hug  Make that the biggest community hug here on Daniel Island or in your community - -virtually, that is. Let's face it, this year we all need to be connected and we all need a hug. We all need the biggest community hug ever! Starting December 1, we invite you to open your arms to your community to embrace a fun and interactive community initiative to share your hug virtually with others.

Gather the local community -- your family, friends, neighbors, schools, groups or orgs in small groups with masks on, social distanced, outstretched arms and smile for the camera to give your community one big beautiful hug.

Capture and record the hug via photos or videos. 

Upload and post your photos or videos to Instagram or YouTube

All photos and videos submitted will be curated for one big continuous hug and posted to social medias on December 31 welcoming the new year. We will start collecting hugs Jan 1 for #thehug2021.
